Sometimes this position is selected after the first few weeks of seeing all of our kitchen assistants in action. Sometimes this is given to a returning employee.  If you feel over qualified as a Kitchen assistant but aren't quite ready to take full control of the stall this role may be for you.  Assistant managers can also be chefs who are paid at an assistant manager rate.  Assistant managers have less of an administrational role.
